Hayley Miller is an award winning make-up artist who is based in Vancouver. Her work has been seen in magazines, television shows, movies and of course weddings.
Hayley began her career as a Make-up retail manager for MAC Cosmetics. Her talent was recognized at once and she soon became the Make-up Retail Manager for Bobbi Brown at Holt Renfrew. In 1997, she began the next phase of her career in Vancouver’s growing film and television industry. Hayley’s skills now expand from everyday make-up styles to special effects, hair laying, aging, prosthetics and airbrushing.

So what makes Hayley Miller Make-Up eco-friendly?
We first met Hayley at a Vancouver Greendrinks event, where she told us about her green practices as a make-up artist. Hayley’s make-up kit contains organic cotton pads, bamboo brushes, organic skincare and organic make-up. She is also working on a line of eco-friendly cosmetics.
Hayley ‘s schedule is quickly being booked up for Summer weddings! You can contact her on her website at www.hayleymiller.com

Based locally in Vancouver, Images By Bethany is an eco-friendly wedding photographer with a clean, natural style.

Bethany discovered her passion for photography in the high school darkroom. After graduation, she received a camera as a gift, and started traveling, taking photos along the way. Upon returning from her travels, she decided to embrace her talents, and attended the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria. In 2007 she moved to Vancouver to start her own business and pursue her passion full-time.
Bethany’s style is editorial, both candid and posed photography. Her images are very clean, fresh, and natural looking.

So, what makes Images By Bethany eco-friendly? She is a digital photographer, and uses recycled paper for the printing of her marketing materials. She is trying to minimize the amount of printing that she does to reduce her waste. She also offers her customers the option of having their albums made by hand by a local artisan, rather than having them commercially printed.
The environment is a big concern in her personal life as well. She shops locally, uses Spud, a company that delivers local and organic produce, and composts as well. Even her furniture is sustainable; purchased from Upholstery Arts, they use harmless, renewable resources to manufacture their furniture.

Her availability for the summer is filling up fast, so to contact Images by Bethany, and to view her work, visit her at www.imagesbybethany.com. Or you can email her at bethany@imagesbybethany.com.

We’d like to congratulate MJ Marceau, who is getting married on August 7th, and has won 200 cards for her wedding.

This was the very first year for the Grass Roots Wedding Fair, and we had a great time. There was a diverse range of vendors and each was eco-friendly in some way. Delicious appetizers were provided by One Planet Catering, there was some great entertainment with a wide range of music including Flamenco music by Singing Guitar, some really adorable ceramics by Eikcam, as well as unique Carrot Cake Lollipops by Sweet Naturally Bakery.

Thank you to all those that stopped by our booth. We hope to see you again at our next wedding show on March 7th at the Fraser Valley Wedding Festival. For more information visit their website.
